Description

A pyramid net is a square or rectangular net that is open at the top and does not have any internal device.

It is designed for fishing in inland waters.

Pyramid nets do not need to be registered.

Pyramid nets are prohibited in marine waters.

Specifications

Maximum width: 60 cm wide and 60 cm long

Maximum mesh net height from the base: 15 cm

Minimum opening at the top: 20 cm wide and 20 cm long

Maximum number: 3 pyramid nets per person.

Rules apply for use with other fishing gear.

Marking

Any unattended nets must have a tag showing the name and address of the owner.

Nets that are set away from the shore in all inland waters must have 1 white buoy that is 2 litres in volume.
