Rural financial counselling
PIRSA works closely with Rural Business Support (RBS) to ensure the network of rural counsellors can respond to the range of financial and business challenges facing primary producers.
RBS delivers the Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) in South Australia and the Northern Territory, supporting farmers and rural-related businesses for more than 30 years.
Services are free, independent and confidential for eligible clients.
Legal services
Free legal advice and minor assistance is available to all South Australians via telephone, both during and after emergency events. This is supplied by the Legal Services Commission of South Australia.
For urgent advice during weekdays, from 9am – 4.30pm, call: 1300 366 424
When services are needed beyond simple advice, legal aid is available for eligible people on matters specified under the Legal Services Commission guidelines. Read about the conditions of legal aid and how to apply.
Free disaster legal help is also available for those affected by disaster and emergency events.
Disaster recovery advice
For non-urgent advice, the Law Society provides free legal assistance during and after disaster recovery situations.
They have a register of lawyers who provide legal support on a variety of matters.
