TGM sea surface salinity and currents

Notice to eSA-Marine Users

Due to the upgrade of computing facilities at the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI), the eSA-Marine system will be temporarily suspended on Friday 22 Nov.

SARDI and the Bureau of Meteorology will be working together to minimize this downtime and we expect eSA-Marine website will operational in the first quarter of 2020.  As soon as the new forecast models are available we will  resume publishing our regular forecasts on this website.

Please contact Dr Mark Doubell (SARDI,mark.doubell@sa.gov.au) with any enquiries regarding eSA-Marine system, including how we can possibly help during the eSA-Marine downtime.

  • Sea surface salinity shown using colour scale.
  • Surface current speed and direction indicated by arrow length and arrow direction.

Times shown above the map are Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) and Adelaide Central Daylight Time (ACDT) or Adelaide Central Standard Time (ACST)
