Keeping count of snapper stocks

13 January 2020

The count is on for our snapper stocks with a spawning biomass survey starting today in Gulf St Vincent after a similar successful trip in December in Spencer Gulf.

Livestock losses on Kangaroo Island

As of Sunday 12 January, more than 32,000 stock have been lost in the bushfires on Kangaroo Island, however this may rise as reports of livestock losses are provided to Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA).

While assessment teams from Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA) continue to work with producers affected by the devastating Ravine fire on Kangaroo Island, it is estimated the stock losses will be in the tens of thousands.
