Friday 22 September 2023

The Agrifutures Rural Women’s Award is Australia’s leading award empowering the inclusive and courageous leadership of women involved in rural and emerging industries, businesses and communities.

Over the past 21 years, the award has provided more than 350 women with the encouragement and networking opportunities to achieve positive change for rural and regional Australia.

Each state and territory winner receives:

  • a $15,000 Westpac grant for their project, business or program
  • access to professional development and alumni networks
  • a learning and development bursary of up to $11,000.

South Australia’s winner then goes on to represent the state in the national awards in Canberra.

The 2023 South Australian winner, Ali Paulett, was recognised for her work to establish the Bush DeVine Indigenous Australian native sensory bush food program. It now features a beautiful sensory walking path with 40 types of native plants that also provides produce for their Bush DeVine Winery Restaurant at Polish River, Clare Valley.

Applications for the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award close on Wednesday, 25 October 2023 at 5.00pm AEDT.
