Reservoir fishing

There are 3 offline reservoirs available to recreational fishers in South Australia:

  1. Warren Reservoir near Williamstown
  2. Bundaleer Reservoir near Spalding
  3. Beetaloo Reservoir near Laura.

Since 2016, Murray Cod, Golden Perch and Silver Perch fingerlings have been released into the Warren, Bundaleer and Baroota reservoirs, with Rainbow trout released into Bundaleer.

Reservoir Fishing Permits

Recreational fishers require a 'Reservoir Fishing Permit' from RecFish SA to access the reservoirs.

  • Catch and Release ONLY

Golden Perch

  • Minimum legal length: 33 cm
  • Personal daily bag limit: 2

Rainbow Trout

  • Minimum legal length: 28 cm
  • Personal daily bag limit: 2

Silver Perch

  • Minimum legal length: 33 cm
  • Personal daily bag limit: 2
