Public voting is now open to choose the Top 10 ag towns in the 2023 South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year Award.
A total of 49 towns from across the state were nominated and voting will now determine the Top 10 Ag Towns, based on the towns with the most votes.
The award highlights the importance of developing and maintaining a strong and vibrant agriculture sector in South Australia by recognising towns excelling in agricultural practices, strengthening their region, and supporting a vibrant and resilient community.
In addition to being recognised as the ‘South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year’, the winning town receives:
- town entrance sign recognising their achievement
- certificate and trophy presented by the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development
- community event and sign unveiling to celebrate the town's achievement
- double-page feature in SALIFE magazine.
The ‘Top 10’ will be announced on Monday, 3 July, before our independent judging panel selects three finalist towns.
These finalist towns will then move forward to the town visits stage of the competition.
Submit your vote. Voting is open until 5pm, Wednesday, 28 June.
