Unchilled milk stand

Many mixed cereal farms in SA had a small herd of milking cows and cans were taken to road side pickups daily. Many farms milked the cows by hand and separated the milk into cream and skim milk. The skim milk was usually fed to the calves and the cream sent to the factory once a week either by train or through road side pickups.
