Honours and Masters Scholarships
The AW Howard Memorial Trust may award up to 5 one-year research project scholarships to deserving Honours or Masters students for projects that facilitate pasture research.
Eligibility
To be eligible the recipient must:
- be intending to commence approved honours or masters tertiary studies with any Australian university
- be an Australian citizen or have been a resident in Australia for the 3 years immediately preceding the closing date of applications
- on completion of the approved research present to the Trust a 2-page report summarising the outcomes of the study.
Conditions
The field of research of the study must be relevant to the objectives of the AW Howard Memorial Trust – agricultural and social science (including economics) relating to the development, management and use of pastures.
Masters students need to complete a research project worth at least 50% of their Masters by coursework postgraduate degree.
Funding is for one year only.
Scholarship value
The successful applicant will receive:
- a stipend of $5,000
- operating expenses of $3,000.
Key dates
The scholarship is offered twice a year.
- Round 1 applications open 1 February and close on 31 March annually.
- Round 2 applications open 1 August and close on 30 September annually.
