AgTech on farm demonstration and ThincLab at Loxton

South Australian producers can now experience cutting-edge tech at a new AgTech demonstration farm which combines a business incubator with on-farm AgTech demonstrations.

ThincLab Loxton is housed in PIRSA’s state of the art Loxton Research Centre and is a place where entrepreneurs, companies, agribusiness, associations and members of the community can develop innovations and business models with a view to rapid acceleration to meet market needs. It will provide a valuable focus for the stimulation of entrepreneurial thinking and high impact innovation in this region.

This leading edge hub allows producers to get hands on with high-tech kit and the suppliers, ask questions, test out the technology, and see what’s available to help tackle everyday farming issues and then decide if it’s right for them.

The first four AgTech suppliers being showcased at the Loxton Demonstration Farm with a crop management focus are:

  • D3Ag
  • Measurement Engineering Australia (MEA)
  • CropX
  • Tevatronic.

ThincLab Loxton is a partnership between The University of Adelaide and the South Australian Government’s Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA (PIRSA).
