Resources available to primary producers in SA in relation to water during drought and dry times.
On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme
Eligibility criteria for the On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure rebate has been eased, providing a more streamlined application process.
Key changes include:
- the ability to submit multiple applications to the Scheme (maximum of $50,000 total rebate)
- the addition of a primary producer declaration – removing the need to supply financial statements and tax returns
- a pre-approval process, enabling farmers to obtain approval in principle before starting works and incurring expenses.
Eligible farmers can now access a 50 %% rebate – or up to $50,000 – on purchases and installation costs for on-farm water infrastructure to help provide water to livestock or permanent horticulture plantings in the current drought.
