Electronic identification (eID) for sheep and farmed goats

SA producers who purchased NLIS-accredited eID tags during 2023 can apply for a 50% rebate up to a cap of $0.95 per eligible tag. Applications close 30 April 2024.

Saleyards and processors can apply for a rebate to assist with setting up essential equipment and infrastructure for recording and reporting sheep and farmed goat movements.

About funding and support

The Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) provides and supports a number of funds, initiatives and programs to develop our state's primary industries and help both industry, regions and businesses to recover from emergency events.

We also have a range of support services and information available, including mentoring, accessing mental health and wellbeing support services, as well as getting business and legal advice from non-governmental organisations.
