Victoria Angove is part of the new generation leading South Australia's world-class wine industry. The joint Managing Director (with brother Richard) of Angove Family Winemakers, she also is a director of the Winemakers' Federation of Australia, the national representative body.
Founded in 1886, Angove is one of Australia's largest and most respected privately owned wine companies, with vineyards, wine production facilities and cellar door outlets in the Riverland and McLaren Vale. It exports widely and has a growing reputation for sustainability and the production of certified organic wines.
Victoria believes quality, sustainability, reliability and credibility are among the state's biggest advantages - regardless of the size of the producer - and she is happy to share that message with the world.
"The diversity of our food and wine producers is really exciting and there is so much to talk about," she said.
"From artisan producers to larger companies, quality is paramount and it gives us a credible position to work from.
"South Australia's natural resource management and focus on sustainability are also key."
