More than 2500 state, national and international wine industry professionals will gather at the 18th Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference in Adelaide from 26 - 29 June 2022.
Adelaide is Australia's wine capital and the industry's heart and soul can be found in South Australia's 18 unique and distinctive regions which include the Southern Flinders Ranges, Riverland, Clare Valley, Adelaide Plains, Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Kangaroo Island, Southern Fleurieu, Currency Creek, Langhorne Creek, Mount Benson, Robe, Padthaway, Wrattonbully, Coonawarra and Mount Gambier.
Held at the Adelaide Convention centre, the conference will tackle the technical and business issues, as well as the opportunities facing the grape and wine sector. More than 1000 official delegates are expected to attend the whole conference, with a further 1500 wine industry experts involved over the three days.
At WineTech 2022, the expo component of the event, Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development Clare Scriven has addressed and welcomed participants to South Australia.
The Government of South Australia's AgTech demonstration sites will be on show throughout the conference and participants will be able to take a virtual tour of the viticulture-focussed Nuriootpa site and register their interest to visit and experience the AgTech on show in-person.
The Government of South Australia is the event's principal government partner and the Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference is the premier technical event for the Australian wine industry, held every three years since 1970.
