Early-Career Research Grants
Early-Career Research Grants are made by the Trust to support research activities that improve the development, management and use of pastures.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- have been a continuous resident in Australia for the last 3 years or have an ongoing position with an Australian research agency
- have been conferred their PhD within 7 years of application and/or have been employed in a research agency for less than 10 years without a PhD.
Conditions
- The field of research of the study must be relevant to the objectives of the AW Howard Memorial Trust – agricultural and social science (including economics) relating to the development, management and use of pastures.
- The grant is to be used within a 12-month period to support operating costs only; it does not cover salary.
- Grants are limited to $15,000.
Key dates
- Applications open 1 February annually.
- Applications close 31 March annually.
