RDA Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island Inc.

Project: Realising our Potential

Enabling businesses to benefit from the National Broadband Network as well as improving their competitiveness in attracting investment.

The project will support:

  • practical approach to regionalisation
  • realising the demographic dividend
  • developing a regional electric highway
  • investment attraction
  • superfast broadband business training.
Funding provided: $425,000 per annum 

RDA Barossa Inc.

Project: Barossa Region Targeted Economic Growth

Delivering structured economic development by building on the work of another of the RDA’s project, Targeting Quality Jobs, to marry opportunity and regional advantage with State Government priorities. RDA Barossa will connect potential partners to develop project opportunities, and assist businesses to apply for relevant public and private funding.

The project will:

  • assist stakeholders and proponents to develop project proposals 
  • provide advice to  State Government on economic development
  • undertake infrastructure planning to enable investment
  • develop initiatives to promote investment opportunities.
Funding provided: $380,000 per annum

RDA Far North Inc.

Project: Identifying and driving activities that will generate economic development and growth in the region. The first stage of the project focuses on identifying priority activities for the growth and sustainability of the region, and the second stage will focus on driving those identified priority activities.

The project will:

  • develop economic growth and investment strategies for business growth and investment\
  • develop viable project proposals
  • provide advice to State Government on economic development
  • facilitate new job creation, business improvement, expansion and promotion of initiatives and programs and access to initiatives and programs of the State, Commonwealth and Local Governments.

Funding provided: $400,000 per annum

RDA Limestone Coast Inc.

Providing an increased focus on economic development opportunities in the region. The key priorities are economic development and diversification, infrastructure, human capital development (population growth, skills and leadership development), and promotion of the region.

This project will:

  • deliver new investment
  • assist proponents to develop viable project proposals
  • provide advice to State Government on economic development in the region
  • promote awareness of Government initiatives and programs.

Funding provided: $400,000 per annum

RDA Murraylands and Riverland Inc.

Delivering job growth and investment for the region. The RDA Murraylands and Riverland will deliver a number of economic development initiatives including infrastructure planning and investment.

The project will:

  • assist proponents to develop viable project proposals
  • undertake infrastructure planning to enable investment attraction
  • provide advice to State Government on economic development
  • develop initiatives to promote investment opportunities.

Funding provided: $450,000 per annum 

RDA Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula Inc.

Promoting employment growth and regional investment working with various industries, the 11 local councils, and State and Federal Governments.

The project will:

  • assist proponents develop viable project proposals
  • provide advice to State Government on economic development
  • promote awareness of government initiatives and access to government programs
  • develop and promote regional investment opportunities.

Funding provided: $470,000 per annum

RDA Yorke and Mid North Inc. 

Facilitating and enabling investment in the region which will ultimately lead to broader economic growth. Key priorities through this project are a renewed focus on working directly with business and industry, creating the right conditions for economic growth, driving regional cohesion, and striving to connect business.

The project will:

  • drive growth through development of business opportunities
  • innovate through the use of emerging technologies
  • use existing and create new infrastructure
  • support community infrastructure and strategic regional projects
  • build business knowledge and skills
  • develop skills and leadership
  • build and maintain relationships to grow and develop the region
  • use resources and knowledge to inform government community.

Funding provided: $475,000 per annum
