Data so easy to access

A new web-based data service detailing South Australian economic, environmental and social indicators will prove a boon for a wide variety of industry sectors and organisations.
DTED Chief Executive Brian Cunningham says EasyData (www.southaustralia.biz/EasyData) will boost the usefulness of the State Government's key economic development website, www.southaustralia.biz
EasyData gathers publicly available data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and some previously unavailable information.
"EasyData fits DTED's move to be more customer-centric, progressive and outwardly focussed," Mr Cunningham says.
Uses will include:
- helping regional development organisations write grant applications, reports and strategic plans;
- providing valuable up-to-date information for local government and employment networks; and
- enabling potential investors and migrants to access relevant information about a particular region of the State.
