Premium Food and Wine from our Clean Environment is one of the State Government’s Seven Strategic Priorities.
This priority aims to secure South Australia’s position as a producer of premium food and wine from our clean water, air and soil.
It seeks to capitalise on the increasing global demand for premium products.
The priority also aims to boost recognition of South Australia’s quality food and wine locally, throughout Australia and the world.
The Action Plan details key projects, programs and initiatives with common goals:
- Capitalising on South Australia’s existing reputation for high quality food and wine.
- Outlining a common direction for Government, industry and regions.
- Supporting the growth and recognition of South Australia’s food, wine and agriculture industries.
Our state has tremendous opportunities.
With global demand for food expected to increase by 70% by 2050, South Australia is well placed to respond to this growing demand.
