An earthquake measuring 4.6 was recorded in the Flinders Ranges near Cradock, south of Hawker, at 2.06 am early this morning.
PIRSA seismologist David Love, says there have been some small aftershocks and PIRSA is sending portable equipment today to the area to monitor these.
The earthquake is likely to have been widely felt in the area. PIRSA is not aware of any reports of any damage of concern.
The earthquake is of similar magnitude to the one recorded in September in the Parachilna/Wilpena Pound area of the Flinders Ranges.
