Community Support Grants

The list below are of successful Community Grants program applications approved in July 2007. These are provided to give you an idea of just some of the ways the community grants program can support activities in your community. Full guidelines and the application form can be found in the community grants program guide or by calling free call 1800 182 235   

 

  • Jamestown Community School – Free BBQ and Band at the local park in Jamestown with some activities for children. The event will be held in Mid October.
     
  • Dairy SA regional Development Program – Two social gathering events for the dairy community. One event at Meningie for the River and Lakes Dairy Communities in August 2007 and the other event in Myponga for Fleurieu and Hills Dairy Communities in August 2007.
     
  • Mount Hope Soldiers Memorial Hall – Community Cricket match and BBQ at ‘The Red Flat, Mount Hope’ to be held in October 2007.
     
  • Mannum to Wellington Local Action Planning Association – Community Quiz Night at Goolwa or Murray Bridge to be held on a date to be confirmed).
     
  • Mannum to Wellington Local Action Planning Association – Local Produce Dinner at the Mypolonga Sporting Clubrooms to be held on a date to be confirmed.
     
  • Mannum to Wellington Local Action Planning Association – Film Evening to view a DVD on local historical data about the 1956 flood event and the future we are facing put together by two school students. The event will be held at the Cameo Cinema in Murray Bridge on a date to be confirmed.
     
  • Riverland Local Action Planning Committees – Quiz Night in the Riverland region to be held during National Water Week in October 2007.
     
  • South Australian Fresh Fruit Growers Association – Up to 4 “BBQ chat get-togethers”. Two events in the Renmark/Berri area, one event at Waikerie/Cadell and one event at Mypolonga. Events will be held at dates to be confirmed between August and October 2007. 
     
  • Tumby Bay District Community Development Board – The Lipson Art Prize and Exhibition event featuring outdoor sculptures together with music and food. The event will be held at the Lipson hall on the weekend of September 1 and 2, 2007.
     
  • Ungarra District Hall Association – Community Evening with Guest Inspirational Speaker. The event will be held at the Ungarra Hall on August 2, 2007.
     
  •  Women in Horticulture – “Lifting Riverland Spirits and Future Optimism despite the drought”. Three free family focussed BBQ and information sharing support events to be held in Waikerie, Loxton and Renmark with dates and venues to be confirmed.
     
  • YATCO Wetland Landcare Group – “BBQ at the Bank” social event. The proposed location of the event is at the site of the now proposed earthen bank structure at the Northern end of Yatco lagoon on a date to be confirmed.
