Otway Basin (Offshore) 1970-2006 Workstation Dataset

A workstation-ready dataset of 444 2D SEGY data files is available for the South Australian sector of the offshore Otway Basin area. The age range for these data (recorded from 22 surveys) is 1970-2006. Lines recorded prior to 1980 generally are all analogue and not available in a digital form. Those that are available from this period are the result of subsequent reprocessing.

In 2001, Woodside Energy Ltd conducted an extensive reprocessing project of vintage lines from 1981-1988 that produced a further 93 files. These are also provided in the dataset. There is generally only one version of each line, chosen on the basis that it is the longest, best and most recent version available – see attached spreadsheet:

All data is presented in GDA94, Zone 54 coordinates. All coordinates, shotpoint numbers and CDP numbers have been entered into standard byte locations in trace headers.
