Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (Cwlth) (external site)
Formerly the Department of the Environment and Heritage. Contains useful information on, but is not limited to, the EPBC Act, assessments and animal and plant listings.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (SA) (external site)       
Regulatory role includes management of state conservation parks and coastal and marine issues.
Note: DENR was established 1 July 2010 to bring together the former Department for Environment and Heritage, and Natural Resource Management staff and State Flora staff from the former Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation.

Conservation Council of South Australia (CCSA) (external site)
The CCSA is an umbrella organisation representing approximately 60 member groups, whose main purpose is conservation and protection of the environment.

Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) (external site)
The ACF is a national organisation. The SA division deals with key environmental issues in the State.

Nature Conservation Society of South Australia (NCSSA) (external site)
The NCSSA is a voluntary body that aims to foster the conservation of South Australia's wildlife and natural habitats. It is a valuable source for consultation on threatened species and habitats.

The Wilderness Society is a national organisation that advocates wilderness protection, and has an active South Australian division.

Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement (ALRM) (external site)
ALRM provides a legal service to Aboriginal people and their communities.

Nature Foundation SA (external site)
The Nature Foundation SA raises and distributes funds to protect the natural environment, support national parks and save native wildlife. It is a valuable resource for environmental practices and conservation within South Australia.
