This field guide has been prepared to assess the level of environmental rehabilitation of abandoned petroleum wellsites in the Cooper Basin region of South Australia. The guidelines are an integral part of Primary Industries and Resources South Australia's (PIRSA's) auditing procedure. They are intended for use by government agencies, industry and community interest groups.

The document is referred to in the SA Cooper Basin Operators Drilling and Well Operations SEO as a guide for assessing the well site restoration environmental objectives.

This field guide provides a pictorial indication of the assessment levels of achievement of environmental objectives for seismic operations in the Cooper Basin.

The guide is structured around the Goal Attainment Scaling criteria used to assess compliance with the Statement of Environmental Objectives.

It is recommended to all persons interested in environmental management of petroleum operations.
