Worldwide interest has grown in the development of vast unconventional reservoirs for both gas and geothermal energy production.

To gain an insight into current status of fracture stimulation of unconventional reservoirs in South Australia, the Australian Geothermal Energy Association (AGEA), the Australian Geothermal Energy Group (AGEG) and the Australian School of Petroleum (ASP) hosted a one day symposium on Friday 9th September 2011 at the National Wine Centre, Adelaide South Australia.

The following presentations showcased projects across the state and provided an insight into capabilities and future technologies from service companies and research organisations.
