Processed Seismic Sections

The entire collection of over 29 500 hardcopy seismic sections held by PIRSA are now fully indexed and catalogued.

Key attributes which have been captured include:
Line Name
Shot Point Range
Display Scales
Form of Processing
Date of Processing
Processing Contractor
Length of display material. 




Access to this catalogue is available through PEPS-SA which now facilitates a fast turn around on data orders and customer queries. Digital scanning of these hard copy sections commenced in October 1999 under the TEISA Initiative and was completed in July 2002. Data are now available as .tiff image files on CD at A$5.00 per file.

Digital Images of Seismic Sections
Since approximately 1996 displays of processed seismic data have been submitted in a CGM+ format by exploration companies.  This includes 2D subsets of 3D seismic surveys. These files have been converted to .tiff files to facilitate easy viewing on PCs. The open file data is available for purchase at A$5 per file.
