Digital Processed Data

2D archive data

Cooper Eromanga Basin area

Archive processed data in a SEG-Y format are available for approximately 6200 2D seismiclines recorded in the period 1975–2005 over the Cooper and Eromanga Basin areas.

In most cases three versions of data are available for each line – Filtered Migration, Filtered Final and Raw Final stacks. The total number of data files is over 21 000. All data files have had SP/CDP relationships inserted into the EBCDIC header to facilitate data loading.

Other key attribute data including processor, processing date, sample intervals, samples per trace etc have also been captured and are available through PEPS-SA. All of the 2D seismic lines of the Cooper Eromanga Basin area available for purchase are listed on this Excel spreadsheet (854 Kb,Winzip file).

For related information go to Cooper Basin Workstation Data Sets.

Rest of State including Offshore

Archive SEG-Y data is also available for some 2250 lines recorded elsewhere in the state principally for the period 1974–2005. Total number of data files is almost 6500.

This data is supplied essentially in the same form as was originally submitted to PIRSA. Supporting attribute data is available through PEPS-SA.

All of the 2D seismic lines (Rest of State) available for purchase are listed on this Excel spreadsheet (283Kb, Winzip file).

For related information go to Otway Basin Workstation Data Sets.

3D archive data

A total of 47 3D surveys have been recorded in South Australia in the period 1981–2006 and 35 of these are now (October 2006) 'open file' and available for purchase. Of the available surveys, 30 are from the Cooper-Eromanga Basin area and 5 from the Otway Basin.

All of the 3D seismic surveys for which processed data is available for purchase are listed on this
Excel spreadsheet (58 Kb), plus the data type and surface area of the surveys.
