SARIG is a state-of-the-art online information facility developed by Minerals and Energy Resources, South Australia, enabling users to interact with and download selected geoscientific data.
Through SARIG, users anywhere in the world can interrogate a comprehensive set of geoscientific data that will assist in effective exploration and investment decision-making processes.
Lodgement and payment of exploration licence applications and renewals is provided on-line without the need to download specialist software.
What's new in SARIG 2020
SARIG outage extension
The planned outage for the SARIG application has been extended. The application will now be unavailable from 18:00 hours Friday 27 April until 06:00 hours Sunday 29 April Australian Central Standard Time.
SARIG outage 27-28 April 2012
The SARIG application will be unavailable between the hours of 18:00 Friday 27 April until 16:30 hours on Saturday 28 April due to essential maintenance and testing of electrical equipment.

Mineral exploration release areas
Following amendments to the Mining Act 1971 that came into force in July 2011, expired, partially surrendered, surrendered or cancelled exploration licence areas may be released for application. A new map layer in SARIG shows pending mineral release exploration areas (ERAs).
State Geophysical Images can now be downloaded in ERS format as well as TIFF.
To access right click the image map layer, select the download button. Click OK to accept DMITRE's Spatial Data Terms and Conditions, choose required format (TIFF or ERS) and click download.
The South Australian Resources Information Geoserver (SARIG) has been totally redeveloped to provide an easy to use browser independent interface that has retained and built upon the best features of previous SARIG releases.
