Reticulation data was captured by hand digitising hardcopy reticulation map sheets placed on digitising tablets. Digital cadastral boundary data (DCDB) was supplied in digital format from South Australia's government mapping agency. Control was established between the digital cadastre and the plotted cadastre on the hardcopy plans. In built-up areas (including the Adelaide Metropolitan and all country towns), data was digitised from AMG 1:2,500 water reticulation plans. In rural areas, data was accurately plotted onto 1:10,000 AMG plots and then digitised. Data was captured between 1985 and 1992, after which the database has been continually updated using a combination of tablet and heads-up digitising techniques. | ||||||
| Capture scale | Data entered pre 1992 in built-up areas 1:2,500 and rural areas 1:10,000. Data captured after 1992 at various scales using electronic methods. | ||||||
| Maximum plot scale | 1:20,000 | ||||||
| Date current | SA Water update the data in-house daily | ||||||
| Capture method | Digitised using digitising tablets, Digital Cadastre (DCDB) was used as control. Newer data digitised on screen. | ||||||
