Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Conditions of Entry.
Entry
- Entry to this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry by each entrant. To enter the Competition, entrants are required to submit a completed entry form at the PIRSA Information Booth at the 2011 South Australian Resources and Energy Investment Conference (SAREIC) during the Promotional Period.
- Entry is open to individuals over the age of 18 only and only one entry per person is permitted. Entrants can only enter in their own name.
- Employees of the Promoter (PIRSA) and their immediate families, and their agencies and companies associated with the promotion are ineligible to enter the Competition.
- The Promotional Period commences at 11:00am CST on 2 May 2011 and closes at 4:45pm CST on 4 May 2011.
- To enter the Competition, eligible entrants must, during the Promotional Period, complete a valid entry form and submit the form in person at the PIRSA Information Booth at SAREIC. Entry forms will be available for collection from the PIRSA Information Booth.
- Entrants must provide details of their full name, business address, contact telephone number and email address on the entry form. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to receive marketing materials from the Promoter and its promotional partners in accordance with Conditions 22 and 23.
- Entrants must be residents of Australia and the winner must be a resident of Australia at the time of claiming the Prize.
- Each eligible entrant is limited to one entry. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotional Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. Incomplete, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid.
Prize and Prize Draws
- There is one prize of an Apple iPad 64GB Wi-Fi model.
- The prize draw to determine the prize winner will be a manual draw conducted at 5:30pm CST on Wednesday 4 May 2011 or at such other time as the Promoter determines, and will take place at the SAREIC venue, Hilton Adelaide Hotel, 233 Victoria Square, Adelaide SA 5000.
- The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner will be notified by email. All reasonable steps to notify the winner of the draw will be taken by the Promoter. The winner will be advertised on the PIRSA website home page <www.pir.sa.gov.au/minerals> on 9 May 2011.
- In the event that any winner is unable to be contacted, and all methods of communication are unsuccessful, the Promoter shall conduct a further manual draw at 5:30pm CST on Monday 6 June 2011 at PIRSA, Level 7, 101 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA 5000.
- The prize remains the property of the Promoter until claimed by the prize winner.
- The total prize pool is valued at $950.00. The prize value is in Australian Dollars.
- The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
- In the event that the prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar product of the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable law.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.

The Promoter accepts no liability for the prize if lost or damaged in transit.
Personal Information
- All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter.
- The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to include entrants in the Competition and where appropriate to award the prize. If the personal information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the Competition.
- By participating in the Competition, each entrant acknowledges that a primary purpose of collection of entrants’ personal information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with information on special offers or provide entrants with marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages (SMS [Short Message Service], MMS [Multimedia Message Service], IM [Instant Messaging] and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future.
- The Promoter may share information with any agency, authority, instrumentality, Minister or Officer of the State of South Australia or any of the Promoter’s promotional partners who may contact entrants with special offers in this way.
- By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use entrants’ personal information in accordance with Conditions 22 and 23.
- Each entrant agrees that the Promoter may publish or cause to be published the winner’s name and locality in any media as required under the relevant lottery legislation.
General
- The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to produce proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. If identification required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its nominated agent), or the winning entry is not verified or CSO 115312 / 3792956 OKXBET 15/4/2011 validated to the Promoter’s satisfaction within a period specified by the Promoter, the winner’s entry will be deemed invalid. The prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter requires.
- The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with taking or using the prize, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry, or if the entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to any written directions given under applicable law.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this Competition if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter.
- Entrants consent and agree to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner of the draw (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting, publicising or marketing this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter. The winner agrees to participate in all reasonable promotional activities in relation to this Competition as requested by the Promoter and its agents.
