Nick Stump has 38 years of hands-on experience in the mining and metals industries in Australia and overseas. He received a Master of Applied Science in Metallurgy at the University of Adelaide before joining the CRA Group where he spent 25 years in various positions, including 4 years as President of Comalco subsidiary, Commonwealth Aluminium in the USA, before returning to Australia as Chief Executive of the publicly listed Comalco Ltd and a Group Executive of CRA Ltd. Mr Stump was Chief Executive of MIM Holdings Ltd for 6 years before his retirement in 2001.
Mr Stump is a past President of the Minerals Council of Australia and is currently Chairman of GroundProbe Pty Ltd and on the board of John Holland Group Pty Ltd.and Ludowici Ltd. He is a member of the Senate of the University of Queensland, Chairman of the Sustainable Minerals Institute and a Director of Australia 21 Pty Ltd.
