The Penrice mine produces chemical grade limestone for the Penrice Soda Products Pty Ltd (PSP), Osborne soda ash manufacturing plant. The mine also produces raw stone for cement manufacture, aggregates, and production material for foundry flux, glass and paver manufacture. It is estimated that 75.8Mt in situ marble (of all grades) and 11.6Mt waste will be produced from the pit. The volume of product for external sales was 1.27 Mt during 2007/2008 financial year.
