The 2007 Premier's Award for Growing Prosperity was awarded to the Plan for Accelerating Exploration (PACE) for its success in bringing rigour and strategic focus to the exploration investment sector of the resources industry.
The award for Growing Prosperity highlights that our State's prosperity should benefit all citizens and grow in an environmentally sustainable way. The Award recognises those that are working towards a dynamic economy that is competitive, resilient and diverse.
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Public Sector Workforce Division together with the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) announced the inaugural Premier's Awards in June 2007.
The Premier's Awards are a showcase of some of the fine work carried out daily by South Australia's public sector.
The Awards recognise and reward those who innovate, enhance the quality of services, bring about lasting improvements, and build true partnerships with people and groups in the community.
The Awards also help us, as a State, achieve the goals we have together set down in South Australia's Strategic Plan.
The judging for the 2007 Premier's Awards consisted of a two-stage process of short-listing, followed by intensive assessment.
The Premier's Awards Categories are based on the themes contained within the South Australian Strategic Plan.
