LICECHECK Program

The LICECHECK program objectives are to educate producers in how to detect sheep lice infestations and improve their management to prevent the introduction of sheep lice onto their properties. Information is also provided to assist producers to more effectively deal with sheep lice infestations whilst at the same time decrease the likelihood of chemical residues in the South Australian wool clip.

The following information and activities are part of the programme:

  • A brochure outlining the principles of LICECHECK
  • A series of 12 fact sheets on all aspects of sheep lice control, management and eradication.
