When moving sheep or goats between properties not covered by the same PIC, animals must be accompanied with the following documentation:
National Sheep Health Statements can be obtained from your local stock agent or rural reseller free of charge. The NSHS require the owner/manager of aniamls to declare information regarding the OJD score, footrot and lice status of the animals. Failure to provide a NSHS is an offence under the Livestock Act 1997, and can result in an expiation notice and fines.
Instructions for completing the NSHS
National Vendor Declarations can be obtained through Meat and Livestock Australia on 1800 683 111.
