Animal Identification
Animal identification has been an integral part of agriculture for many years. It relates not only to brands but with the implementation of disease control has become essential in the tracing of animals.
Animal Identification Systems include:
- National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) which enables the rapid tracing of livestock in the event of any disease outbreak or residue incident
- Property Registration to assist with better national disease control programs
- Livestock Brands to assist disease control by identifying any diseased animal back to its property of origin
