In 2010-11 the livestock industries in South Australia contributed more than $4.5 billion (33%) of South Australia’s Gross Food Revenue (see below). In particular, strong growth has been evident in poultry production and processing, pork processing and red meat exports.
PIRSA Livestock develops and implements policies, legislation, regulatory frameworks and programs to grow the economic contribution of the industry.
