Austrade's mission is to contribute to community wealth by helping more Australians succeed in export and international business by providing advice, market intelligence and support to Australian companies to reduce the time, cost and risk involved in selecting, entering and developing international markets.  In addition, Austrade provides advice and guidance on overseas investment and joint venture opportunities.
The Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry's role is to develop and implement policies and programs that ensure Australia's agricultural, fisheries, food and forestry industries remain competitive, profitable and sustainable.
 
Horticulture Australia (EXTERNAL SITE)
HAL is a national research, development and marketing organistion.  HAL works in partnership with the horticulture sector to invest in programs that provide benefit to the Australian horticultural industry.   
 
The Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation manages and funds priority research and translates the results into practical outcomes for industry development.  The focus of this business is on new and emerging industries as a means of diversification of rural enterprises in Australia.  This role is enhanced by responsibility for research and development for a range of established rural industries and for key generic issues confronting the rural sector.
