AIMS:
1. To determine the growth response of Eucalyptus globulus with the application of dolomitic lime on an acid sand site.
2. To determine the growth response/improvement; with the application of dolomitic lime on an existing 1 year old E. globulus plantation.
CONCLUSIONS:
• There was no significant growth response to the application of dolomitic lime.
• There was no significant growth response to the application of dolomitic lime plus fertiliser.
• It was not possible to significantly change the soil pH, at either site; even for a short time frame, with the addition of up to 8 tonnes/ha of dolomitic lime.
