AIM:
To investigate the early fertiliser requirements of Tasmanian blue gum, on multiple sites using the best treatments identified in previous work (EP203).
This trial was designed to further test some of the best performing fertiliser treatments identified in EP203 (Eucalyptus globulus fertiliser products trial at establishment 1990, 1991).
CONCLUSIONS:
• At site A there was no statistically significant difference in total stem volume production (m3/ha) between any of the year 0 treatments, including the nil fertiliser control.
• At site B only one year 0 treatment, 15 grams of N/Tree and Nil P was statistically significantly superior in total stem volume production (m3/ha) to the nil fertiliser control.
• At planting plus 65 months there was no statistically significant difference in total stem volume production (m3/ha) between any of the year 1 treatments and the nil fertiliser control.
