Other research with no reports:
Forest Industry Cooperative investigating the efficacy and safety of new herbicide products applied pre and post planting, in combination with other products, to Pinus radiata and Eucalyptus globulus. Trial sites located nationally in ForestrySA and othe industry partners plantations.
Monitor foliar nutrient and growth monitoring plots in Eucalyptus globulus plantations located throughout the Green Triangle. Measurements completed and soil chemistry, growth and foliar nutrient data available.
Rear and release broom biological control agents (CSIRO), as there are no post plant options to control broom.
Biological control agents for gorse.
Assessment of different herbicides for use over-the-top of Eucalyptus, Casuarina and Acacia species to control weeds.
Assess current genetics for radiata pine and Tasmanian blue gum in low rainfall areas (600-650 mm).
Develop a young age fertiliser response tool to predict Pinus radiata growth response based on stocking, soil type and rainfall.
To evaluate and compare the impacts on nursery stock of a range of rates of arginine nitrogen (arGrow) fertiliser, applied to both open rooted radiata pine seedlings and cuttings at the ForestrySA Regional Nursery Glencoe against current standard nitrogen fertiliser practices. To field test the survival and early growth performances of open rooted radiata pine seedlings and cuttings treated with arginine nitrogen (arGrow) fertiliser in the ForestrySA Regional Nursery Glencoe across a range of sites against planting stock treated with the current best practice nursery fertiliser regime.
