The plantation area of radiata pine in each hundred in the Upper South East as of 2001. The majority of radiata pine is located around Lucindale and in the hundreds of Beeamma and Geegeela between Naracoorte and Bordertown.

The age classes of these plantations is shown in the graph below, which highlights the young age class of the plantations in the Upper South East.

Most of the plantation of radiata pine planted in the late 90's and early 2000. This is further illustrated in the age class distribution of radiata pine in the Upper South East from 1947 till 2001.
This graph highlights the relatively small plantings of radiata pine in the Upper South East up untill 1994, when there was significant promotion and subsidies for farm forestry, which ended recently. The initial uptake was strong, but once all suitable area by all interested land owners was completed the planting rate has dopped to a negligable number in 2006.
