Gareth Lewis is behind several South Australian hospitality and entertainment businesses - and unashamedly South Australian.
In fact, since 2008 his King's Head Hotel on King William Street, which now includes Sturt Street Cellars, has only served local beer, wine and produce. What some saw as a potential risk was, to him, an easy decision. He believes the freshest and best quality produce was grown and made locally and should be showcased in all its glory.
"It has had a very good recognition over the past few years," he said. "I'm always promoting our local produce, especially when we have people on national tours coming through."
"The more we can promote quality locally-owned brands and produce the better. That goes for all brands, not just the well-known ones. The little guys are the ones who need more help."
As well as other successful venues, Gareth also runs General Admission Entertainment, which has managed several major music festivals in Adelaide and he also runs the successful Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival.
