GPS & Google Earth downloads

As part of the management of South Australia’s valuable fisheries resources, certain waters may be closed or restricted to fishing.  These closures may protect important fish breeding or nursery areas or may be put in place to help manage the long term health of our fish stocks.

GPS & Google Earth files have been created from selected Fisheries data so you can download information to your GPS or Marine Chart Plotter.

GPX (GPS Exchange Format) files have been created so location information can be uploaded to your GPS unit. Google Earth (KMZ & KML) files have also been created so you can view the information on an easy to use interactive map. Your own personal GPS information can be loaded into Google Earth using GPX format, allowing you to view your favourite fishing locations in relation to fisheries information.
