Although you do not need a licence to fish for recreational purposes in South Australia, you might need to register some fishing gear before use.
Rock lobster pots used by recreational fishers must be registered with PIRSA Fisheries. Applications for pot registrations will be accepted by PIRSA Fisheries from 1 August each year.
Registrations must be renewed each year.
