Recreational Fishing Gear Registration

Although you do not need a licence to fish for recreational purposes in South Australia, you might need to register some fishing gear before use.

Rock Lobster Pot Registration

Rock lobster pots used by recreational fishers must be registered with PIRSA Fisheries. Applications for pot registrations will be accepted by PIRSA Fisheries from 1 August each year.

Registrations must be renewed each year.

You can visit one of the following PIRSA Fisheries Offices to complete a registration form and pay the registration fee:
