- Location and number of animals
- Species involved, description and size of animals
- Your name and contact details
- When the stranding or incident occurred, or when the animal was first discovered
- The weather conditions now and expected
- Tide details
- Accessibility by boat/vehicle
- Name and contact details of person who first reported the event if not yourself
- Whether you or anyone else took any photos
- If the animals are being harassed, the nature of the harassment, the identity or description of the person or people involved, registration numbers of cars or boats involved
- Any other details which may be relevant
