FISHWATCH is a 24-hour service, free-call 1800 065 522 (except from mobile phones).

You can use this number to:

  • ask advice about fishing rules and regulations
  • ask about any matters related to fishing
  • report suspected illegal fishing activity
  • report shark sightings.

Recreational Fishing Gear Registration

Although you do not need a licence to fish for recreational purposes in South Australia, you do need to register some fishing gear.

Rock Lobster Pot Registration
