Economic Performance Indicators
Economic performance indicators include:
- gross value of production (catch and price)
- the cost of the management of the fishery
- financial performance indicators (income, costs, profit and return on investment)
- determination of any major cost increases
- economic impact of the fishery
- economic rent.
The report Economic Indicators for the Commercial Fisheries of South Australia (PDF) summarises the results of economic surveys that were conducted in each of the commercial fisheries in South Australia.
Annual reports of economic performance indicators are provided by all major fisheries in South Australia to meet the obligations of the Fisheries Management Act 2007.
