Riverland hailstorm recovery grants
Recovery assistance grants are available to reimburse eligible primary producers who:
- suffered direct damage as a result of the Riverland hailstorm which occurred 11 November 2016
- are intending to re-establish their primary production businesses.
Up to $10,000 per grant is available, intended to provide short-term, targeted assistance by reimbursing clean-up and reinstatement costs that are not covered by insurance.
This assistance is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and South Australia under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).
The grant program is administered by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries through PIRSA, which continues to lead the recovery effort for affected primary producers within the District Council of Loxton Waikerie, Berri Barmera Council, Mid Murray Council, and Renmark Paringa Council areas.
