Gawler River Floodplain 2016 Flood Recovery Grants

Grant applications are now closed.

Recovery Assistance Grants for Primary Producers were available to eligible Primary Producers who:

  • suffered direct damage as a result of the Gawler River Floodplain floods which occurred between 28 September and 5 October 2016
  • intended to re-establish their primary production businesses.

Up to $10,000 was available under the recovery grants which were intended to provide short-term, targeted assistance by reimbursing clean-up and reinstatement costs that are not covered by insurance.

The grant program is administered by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries through PIRSA, which continues to lead the recovery effort for affected primary producers within the City of Playford and Adelaide Plains Council areas.
