Plant Quarantine Standard

This interactive version of the Plant Quarantine Standard (PQS) should allow you to easily find the information you want.

Simply select the name of the plant product or the condition in the relevant box and click GO. A page outlining the relevant conditions for your selected product or condition will then open. If you want to search again, use the BACK button.

To minimise the threat to SA's horticultural industries from introduced pest risks associated with plants and plant products there are a large number of conditions of entry (Import Requirements) that must be met before plant and Plant related products can be imported into South Australia. The PQS outlines these conditions to assist importers, exporters and the public understand and therefore comply with the requirements.

You can also download the entire PQS as a PDF if you prefer.

However, if you do download a copy, as changes are often made to the PQS, please regularly check this site to ensure your downloaded copy of the PQS is still the current version.

These pages of the "Conditions of Entry"  apply to all host product entering South Australia  (Pages 1-5).
